Last night a group of us got together for a dinner sponsored by MAC 24/7 who let us choose items off their updated menu for 1/2 price. (Follow them as @MAC247Waikiki on Twitter)

Each person was blindfolded then pointed to the menu and what their finger landed on they got to order for 1/2 price. A few got to pick again if they didn’t want the first thing they picked but lots of great food was ordered including Wild Alaskan Salmon, Braised Beef Stew, Rib Eye Steak, Burgers, Chicken Fried Steak and more. I didn’t get a picture of them but several people ordered the MAC Ginger a tall mojito looking drink with fresh ginger. It looked refreshing and is definitely on my list to order next time I’m at MAC 24/7. (Nope, no one ordered the huge MAC Daddy Pancakes this time although there was quite a bit of talk about them. During the dinner we had a contest where the person who tweeted the most with the hashtag #mac247 won a $25 gift certificate donated by Honolulu Gold & Silver (who also offered a 30% discount to all attendees that night). @LaurieCicotello had the most tweets by a long shot so she walked away with the gift certificate. The runner up was @Lika808 who won the I (camera) Food t-shirt from Foodspotting.com.

Have you seen the dining room at MAC 24/7? There’s a whole lot more to the restaurant than first meets the eye out front in the diner/bar and booths area. THere’s a huge dining room with tables and booths plus two private areas available for parties and other celebrations. The cool thing about the large dining room is that it runs along a beautiful garden area that is great for weddings.
