Mom’s Turkey Stuffing With Apple

For as long as I can remember my mom has been making THE best turkey stuffing. Trying to get this recipe was a little challenge since my mom doesn’t really cook from a recipe. A pinch of this, a few stalks of celery, an apple, an onion (who only knows what size) and the rest of the mix makes that comes out of the oven tasting pretty darn good.  It took four emails to get this recipe written down.  Now I can make this stuffing till my heart’s content. Hope you enjoy it as well.

Turkey Stuffing With Apple

8 cups bread cubes
2-3 cups chicken broth – Enough broth so the mixture is moist when all ingredients are mixed together.
Onion
Garlic
Butter
Granny Smith Apple, chopped
Poultry seasoning

Sauté chopped onion, garlic and celery in butter until the onions are transparent. Mix poultry seasoning into mixture. Combine bread cubes, apple and vegetable mixture. Place mixture in baking dish, kind of pat it down. Bake at 350 degrees F for about an hour.
